When is the best time to take turmeric?
There aren’t many studies on the best time to take turmeric, but there is a lot of anecdotal evidence. The consensus is that best time of day to take turmeric in capsule form with breakfast or lunch. This way, you can better control when you take it and how much you take. You can then also notice how your body reacts to it over time.
Should I take turmeric in the morning or at night?
There’s no definitive answer here, but it may depend on your health goals. For example, if you’re taking turmeric for a specific ailment, you might want to take it at the same time every day to maintain consistency. Consistency is important for many supplements.
It might be best to take turmeric at night because it’s fat-soluble (like fish oil) and can be better absorbed by your body when taken with a meal. If you take it in the morning when there is less food in your stomach, it may not be absorbed as well.
Also, studies have shown that curcumin, the active ingredient in turmeric, can help you sleep better and longer. It does this by increasing melatonin levels in your body.
Should I take turmeric with food?
Curcumin has poor absorption and bioavailability. It gets metabolized too quickly by your liver, which means you won’t be able to get as much out of it. Curcumin is fat-soluble, meaning that it can be better absorbed by the body when taken with a meal with high fat content, such as a salad or soup.

What Is the Recommended Turmeric Dosage?

However, if you’re using it to treat a specific condition, you’ll want to talk to your doctor or other healthcare providers. They can help you decide on the best dosage and treatment plan for your needs.
There hasn’t been a lot of research on turmeric’s effects on humans.
However, many studies have been conducted on animals. These studies have found that turmeric can help with conditions like Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes, and cancer. The dosages for these studies ranged from 1 to 2 grams per day.
However, the World Health Organization (WHO) has determined 1.4 mg per pound (0–3 mg/kg) of body weight is an acceptable daily amount.
Keep in mind that when you buy turmeric in a store or online, it may contain some fillers. So if you use more than 1 gram per day, you may be taking more than just turmeric!
